Originally trained at Glasgow School of Art, Linda and her team design and create an extensive range of jewelry from Linda's home village of Cardross near Loch Lomond in Argyll and Bute. Her designs are always changing and developing as each piece is hand made. Work is now being sold throughout Britain and overseas.

Scottish designer jeweller, Linda Macdonald, graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1996 and started her business of making handmade, designer, silver and gold jewellery a year later. Her aim of making quality, contemporary, designer jewellery at competitive prices has helped achieve her goal of supplying a growing number of galleries and shops throughout the UK.

The award winning jewellery designer hand-makes all her silver jewellery in a workshop near Loch Lomond in Scotland. The simple lines of nature and the contrast of different coloured metals are the basis of the inspiration for her handcrafted jewellery.

Linda Macdonald Designer Jewellery has won various awards for both design and service - ranging from the Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative to Scottish Gift of the Year and she was also highly commended by the Judges in the UK Gift of the Year awards for her jewellery design and marketing strategies.

A great deal of Linda’s silver jewellery incorporates gold detail, which adds to the appeal of her handmade jewellery. Each year sees the launch of at least 3 new ranges, which are each made up of a least 5 individual jewellery designs. This years new jewellery designs have enjoyed significant press coverage due to the unique techniques used in the handcrafted jewellery. These techniques help make each piece different from the next which is one of the main attractions to buying handmade jewellery.

During the last few years Linda has also carried out individual commissions for customers who have wanted some unique handcrafted jewellery created especially for them. Many of these commissions have been for wedding jewellery including tiaras.

As a result of all these factors, Linda’s designer jewellery remains one of the most popular handmade jewellery brands in the UK with its popularity spreading overseas as awareness of the jewellery grows.
